Men's Discussions, Every Wednesday

Starting on Wednesday, August 22, the Men's Discussions will happen EVERY Wednesday, starting at 7PM.

Why?  Because they have turned out to be one of our best successes, and there is clearly a need.  We're a social group, and what could be more sociable than hanging out around with a bunch of nice guys, and talking about important stuff?  Stuff like: bottoming for the first time, being raised religious (and how to get past that), what being a man is all about, how to be a great Top or bottom, what kink means to us, and on and on.

"Guy Talk". Sharing Wisdom. When do we ever normally take the time to do it? You can't do it in a noisy bar.  Too distracting. Guys who know stuff, get to share, guys who want to learn, get to ask questions and get them answered, and new, shy guys have a safe space to get a little (or a lot) bolder.

These talks are great, but my favorite part is the mid-evening break, when it's ridiculously difficult for the moderator to get the guys to sit down, and get started again. Why? Because everybody is so happy to chatter away together, standing up and hugging, and bonding as friends.  I suspect that the break is the real point of these discussions for many people, because it all starts right up again, as soon as the discussion is done.  The men stand together in a clump, out on the sidewalk, happily chatting and building new relationships.

This discussion is for ages 18 and up, and is a great place for men in recovery, too.

Some of the discussions will have specific themes, and some of them will feature hands-on demonstrations. Some of them will be Open Discussions where the talk always gets pretty wild and woolly.

Here are the Ground Rules:

You can be as opinionated and passionate as you want - we're men, and men can be strongly opinionated.  We really like men with vigorous viewpoints. Just don't be mean. This is a safe, welcoming space, particularly for newbies. Our goal is to make sure that our brothers want to keep coming back.

If you have an idea for a topic that you would like to see as the theme for an upcoming discussion, you can send in your suggestion here.
