Leather Pride Flag for Hillcrest
From Mr. San Diego Leather 2012 Aaron Duke:
On Tuesday, June 11, 2013, the Hillcrest Business Association unanimously agreed to fly the Leather Pride Flag at the Hillcrest flag pole during the San Diego Leather Pride weekend, August 23 – 25, 2013. This is a historic event and a testimony to the rich tradition and history of the leather community in San Diego.
There will be a flag raising and lowering ceremony where we invite ALL of our LGBT brothers and sisters to join us for this magnificent moment in San Diego leather history. Details will follow in weeks to come.
In order to defray cost of the fabrication of the flag, we are asking each and every one of you to be a part of this milestone by making a donation. The cost of the flag is $550. Your contribution shows your support and makes history for the San Diego Leather Community. This endeavor is the result of a dream of Scottie Tidwell to see the leather pride flag flown in Hillcrest as a visual symbol of our community.
During this weekend, the Mr and Ms San Diego Leather 2013 will be selected. We anticipate visitors from around the country to share the heart and love of the San Diego leather community. Mr San Diego Leather 2012 – Aaron Duke, Ms San Diego Leather 2012 – Wish, Mr San Diego Eagle 2013 – Robert Rodriquez, and Mr San Diego Eagle 2012 – Eli Correa have all been motivating factors in seeing this dream become a reality for all of San Diego to share with us.
Please watch for event announcements and join us to help raise funds for the flag.
Leather Realm Volunteers Wanted

We are looking for groups and organizations to join the Leather Realm during San Diego LGBT Pride in July. Please pass on the info to groups you attend or vendors you frequent. We want as many BDSM and related groups to participate so visitors can find what they need. We can also use volunteers or donations of food or water.
The Leather Realm is a large area set aside for education in all things BDSM 101, Kink 101, and Leather 101. This is a safe place for the general public to learn about BDSM 101 in a free, no-pressure, and welcoming way. Last year we had over 12,000 people come through our door. This is the ideal outreach opportunity for your organization or business to let others know you exist and what San Diego has to offer.
The Leather Realm will be open soon!
